About
Bur oak is a grand, long-lived native with a massive, broad canopy and deeply furrowed, corky bark that gives it tremendous character. Its oversized acorns with fringed caps are a favorite of wildlife, and the tree is remarkably tough and adaptable once established. Reaches 60–80' tall and 60–80' wide at maturity.
