About
A beloved classic of New England gardens, the Common Lilac produces abundant clusters of wonderfully fragrant lavender-purple flowers in mid-spring that are perfect for cutting. Its upright, multi-stemmed form and heart-shaped leaves make it an attractive addition to any landscape, and old specimens develop characterful, gnarled bark. Reaches 12–15' tall and 8–12' wide at maturity.
