About
The thornless honey locust is prized for its graceful, airy canopy of fine-textured compound leaves that cast a pleasant dappled shade, allowing grass and gardens to thrive beneath it. Foliage emerges bright green in spring and turns a warm golden-yellow in fall, and the tiny leaflets often don't require raking. Reaches 40–70' tall and 30–45' wide at maturity.
