One of the tallest native hardwoods in eastern North America, the Tulip Tree is a stately giant with a striking straight trunk and a uniquely shaped leaf that turns brilliant golden-yellow in fall. In late spring it produces tulip-shaped flowers in soft yellow-green with an orange blaze at the base — easy to miss high up in the canopy but stunning up close. Reaches 70–90' tall and 35–50' wide at maturity.
